Sending Birthday Wishes - The Challenge #64 & Muse Challenge #157

Happy Hump Day!

Hope you're all having a wonderful, crafty week. I've been back from my mini holiday for just over a week now (I say "mini" because I wish it had lasted much, much longer!).

The Island of Nevis was unbelievably beautiful. Blooming tropical trees, plants and flowers everywhere in the most vibrant colours (I was definitely in my glory), and we stayed at the most beautiful villa on the whole island. I will definitely share some of our amazing pictures soon - after I get a chance to edit the hundreds and hundreds of photos taken mostly by my husband. Did I mention that a camera in his hands is a very dangerous thing? It seems like it's permanently stuck in his hand, and he ends up taking pictures not once, not twice, but sometimes 3 times of each view, and some even have the dubious honour of starring his fingers!

Yes, folks, photography skills definitely don't exist in my household :-( But we did get some nice photos to travel down memory lane in the future.

So today's post is a quick card I put together for a couple of challenges:

1) a Colour challenge over at Always Playing With Paper Blog - to use Navy, Blue, Green & Gray (such a lovely colour combo!)

2) and a Sketch Challenge over at Muse that features a wonderful creation by Anita Bowden

My card uses products from several companies, some old, some new:

The flourish is embossed in silver embossing powder (for the gray in the colour challenge), and the "Sending" diecut is cut from Stampin' Up's Night of Navy cardstock, matching the "birthday wishes" stamped sentiment.

I also added some adorable - tiny - iridescent star sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. You can see them more clearly in this close up picture:

Cards like this come together so easily when you have such wonderful inspiration, don't you think?

Thanks for joining me today. Hope to see you again soon.

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin' Up Baroque Motifs (flourish); Clearly Besotted Happy Birthday mini stamp
Dies: Simon Says Stamp Script "Sending"
Paper: White Cardstock; Stampin' Up Night of Navy, Marina Mist and Lucky Limeade cardstock
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder; Misti; Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini Star sequins
