Leaf Silhouettes Hello Card

Wow ...

I can't believe that more than 2 months have passed since my last post.
I sure am lazy (LOL). Or busy.
Yes, let's go with the latter excuse reason :-)

I have a lovely group of stamping/cardmaking friends, and we try to get together on a monthly basis, rotating "visits" to each home. Well, this past Sunday I was the lucky Hostess, and thankfully Mother Nature cooperated in not snowing us in so everybody showed up. There's nothing like girl time to feed the soul and boost creativity, IMO.

I wanted to work with this PTI die to create a card, and in between playing Hostess (serving drinks, preparing lunch with dessert, ensuring everybody had what they needed to work on their projects, etc.), I managed to put together several die cuts at a very S... L... O... W pace (for a reason!). Showing it off to them, I got a few "oooh"s and "aahhh"s (OK, and a few calling me nuts for spending so long putting them together).

I never completed the card while my friends were there as I wanted to send them the completed version as a "thank you" for coming. And here's the completed card:

I added an embossed leaf in between the smaller & larger (colour mixed) Leaf Silhouettes diecuts to add a bit of variety. Foam glue dots give them a bit of dimension on the white cardstock.

I'm popping them in the mail today - I hope they like them :-)

Thanks for dropping by - have a lovely day.

Dies: PTI Leaf Silhouettes; Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles; WPlus9 Hello

  1. They will flip over this card, and I am doing ... I can see that you undoubtedly had to die cut that many, many times. What a workout - and very well worth it, Susi! I'm very happy to have this post in my box!! Now, no more excuses - I want more!
